Are you licensed and insured?Yes! 'Ohana Pet Sitters, LLC is a registered and licensed business in the state of Washington. For your security and peace of mind, we are also fully insured by Pet Care Insurance.

Will we meet prior to the start of service?Whenever possible, we prefer to do an Onboarding Consultation in person. It is $20.00 and generally lasts about 15 minutes. We will meet you and your pets, assess their temperament and behavior, go over your specific service needs, tour the area of your home that you want us to access, and answer any of your questions. Please provide a set of working house keys at this time, or access via key code or lock box. If you are unable to meet ahead of time, a consultation may be done by phone or email.

What types of animals do you pet sit?'Ohana Pet Sitters are happy to provide pet care for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, chickens, rodents, fish, reptiles, etc.

Are there any charges for more than one pet?We charge $5 per additional household pet (or additional enclosure/cage/aquarium) during check-in visits and a $5 per additional household dog during dog walks. For overnight services such as boarding and in-home pet sitting, additional dogs are $40/night.

Do you offer services on holidays?Absolutely! Whether you want to get away for the holidays, go to a BBQ on 4th of July, or head to the city for New Year's Eve, let us help! We charge a $20 additional fee per service on holidays. Holidays include Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. These days book up quickly so don't wait!

When do we exchange keys?During the onboarding consultation, please provide at least one set of working house keys. There is a fee of $20 per drop off/pick up if we need to schedule a key collection after this visit or apart from the scheduled service.

How do I get started with booking through 'Ohana Pet Sitters?Please complete our new client intake form by clicking "BOOK" in the menu above. Following our onboarding consultation, you will have access to our system called Scout that will allow you to schedule future bookings online.

Why should we hire 'Ohana Pet Sitters?Your pet has the luxury of staying in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by familiar things (bed, toys, smells, sounds, etc.) Your pet will stay on their usual diet, exercise, and training routine. We will love and treat your pet as part of our family! They will receive all the personalized attention and affection while you're away. You will have peace of mind that everything at home is okay while you're gone. We will pick up your newspaper, bring in the mail, take out the trash, water your plants, rotate your lights, etc. You can have peace of mind knowing we are a fully licensed, registered and insured business. We have an A+ rating on Better Business Bureau and were voted Best of Clark County - Dog Walkers for the last two years in a row!

How far in advance should I book?The sooner, the better, especially around the holidays and summer months. We realize that emergencies happen, so if you need to schedule on short notice please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Something came up.. Can I schedule a same-day visit?Although we can't promise it ALL the time, we're usually able to accomodate a same-day booking. Get in touch with us as soon as you can and we'll get to work on making it possible!

We want our dog to maintain the same training that we do with them ourselves. Will you provide reinforcement of this training? Do you provide basic training?Yes! At our onboarding consultation, be sure to let us know what your current training methods and commands are and we'll gladly reinforce them. If you're just getting started with training your pup, we'll be happy to work on basic etiquette training such as sit, down, shake/paw, wait and stay. Please note, we do not provide professional training and we ONLY use positive reinforcement methods.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel a scheduled service or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Any services cancelled less than 24 hrs prior to start time will be charged at full rate.

Do you offer any overnight extended services?Yes! Depending on your pets specific needs, we're happy to offer either In-Home Pet Sitting at your home or provide Private Boarding at one of our homes. Rates start at $80/night for the first dog, $40/night for each additional dog and $5/night for each additional small pet.

How and when do I pay you?Once you activate your account within our system, your preferred payment method will automatically be charged each Tuesday for services completed the previous week. If you're booking an overnight service, a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit is due at the time of booking to confirm dates. Any cancellations or modifications made up to a week before service will be applied as credit on Scout and will be redeemable for up to 90 days from cancellation date. Any cancellations made within one week of service will be charged at 50%. Any service cancelled or modified less than 48 hours prior to start time will be charged at full original booking rate.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or injured while I'm away?If your pet becomes sick or injured while you are away, we will do all we can to contact you and/or your emergency contacts. If we are unable to reach you, we will follow the action plan on your pet's profile. We will always try to contact your preferred vet first, but if they are unavailable for any reason, we will use another trusted veterinarian in the area. If you have specific preferences for this situation, please let us know during our onboarding consultation session so we can better support you.

Weather can be a bit unpredictable here in the PNW. What is your Inclement Weather Policy?Sun, rain, wind or snow...you can count on us to be there. If weather situations become dangerous for either you, your pet, or 'Ohana Pet Sitters, we will waive any cancellation fees and contact you as soon as possible if a cancellation is needed on our end. As long as we can get to your pet's location safely, we will do all we can to be there.
